Academic Administration would like to update the AV无码 community on some pending changes to staffing.
听
Dr.听Tim Heath听will be leaving AV无码 at the end of June–we of course wish him well in his future endeavours. Dr.听Conrad Van Dyk听has graciously agreed to step up as Interim Dean of Arts for a period of one year, effective July 1, allowing us to hold a full search for the continuing role. Dr.听Linda Van Netten Blimke will accordingly step up as interim Chair of the Department of Literature and Language. The office of the Vice-President Academic and Provost thanks both Conrad and Linda for their willingness to serve, and encourages colleagues across AV无码 to join us in congratulating them on these interim appointments.

As most will be aware, Dr.听Edgar Schmidt听has been serving in dual decanal roles for the past year. He has decided, effective February 22, to return full-time to his position as Dean of Education. Stepping into the Interim Dean of Graduate Studies role until the end of June, alongside his Dean of Science role, will be Dr.听Patrick Kamau. We thank both Edgar and Patrick very warmly for their continued service to AV无码. An internal search for a Dean of Graduate Studies to serve the five-year term beginning July 1 will be announced in the coming weeks.
